It’s time to trade your baseball bat in for a lightsaber, because the San Diego Padres Star Wars Night is almost here! Except this year, Star Wars Night has been extended beyond just one night. It is now an entire weekend!
This is the weekend when the San Diego Padres play the Tampa Bay Rays at Petco Park. But the fun extends beyond just great baseball games.
The Padres Star Wars weekend begins on Friday, June 16, 2023. That’s when you can enjoy a Star Wars-themed BeerFest! This event, brought to you by Southwest Airlines, means you get to enjoy $5 drink specials and live music. Star Wars-themed characters will even be in attendance!
The festivities on Sunday are fun, too, but a little more family-centric. Because that’s where there is a KidsFest, presented by SDG&E. This event is a great time for children (and their families, too) to meet Star Wars characters and get a photo with them.
These festivities also include a great freebie if you purchase a Star Wars Weekend package. If you purchase the special ticket package, then you can get a free Juan Soto themed “Obi-Juan Kenobi” Bobblehead. You can purchase the ticket package here.
But here’s a key tip: buy the ticket package sooner rather than later. Star Wars nights and weekends are popular, and tickets tend to sell out.
But even if it does sell out, you can still purchase a ticket to the game. You just won’t get the free “Obi-Juan Kenobi” Bobblehead. But you can still enjoy all the other festivities like BeerFest and KidsFest (depending on the day you go). You can also save money because you can find some great discount tickets here.
