Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of the victory of the poorly equipped Mexican Army over the much larger French Army in 1862 at the Battle of Pueblo.  The day is celebrated with music, dancing, drinking, piñatas, and delicious Mexican food.

Cinco de Mayo is usually celebrated with festivals and parties and you can find a lot of these in Phoenix.  

Cinco de Mayo Street Fair in South Phoenix

The annual Cinco de Mayo Street Fair in South Phoenix is returning on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 12 pm to 7 pm.  This event will celebrate culture, tradition and community.  The Street Fair brings together family, friends and local businesses for a great day full of flavor, fun and entertainment.  It is free to attend and open to all ages.

Cinco de Mayo Putt & Party

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with tequila, tacos, live music, games and golf,  This will  be happening on September, May 3, 2025, from 11 am to 9 pm at Putting World & Bar 19 in Scottsdale.  Celebrate Cinco de Mayo on and off the green.

Putting World is turning up the fun and the fairway with a day of drink specials, Mexican bites, wild putting challenges, high energy competition and live music.

  • Cross Country Putt Tournament from 7 pm to 10 pm with cash prizes for top teams

Celebration Cinco de Mayo on Family Fun Saturdays

Celebration Cinco de Mayo will be happening on May 17, 2025, from 10 am to 3 pm at the Arizona Center.  This is free and open to all ages.

This is both an indoor and outdoor event.  With music, cultural  performances and activities.  Enjoy a bubble machine and a photo booth.  Break the pinata filled with  candy.  Enjoy music, karaoke and dancing.

Kids can enjoy arts and crafts and face painting and caricatures.  Food vendors will be there with authentic Mexican food to enjoy.  There will also be artisanand merchandise vendors to  make for a  great shopping experience.
