We recently reviewed our stay at the Terra Luna Resort. Terra Luna is the newest hotel at Universal Orlando. It has a great universe and planetary theme, and we had a wonderful time on our stay there. And one thing we liked about our stay is the Omega Cafe and Market.
The Omega Cafe and Market is the main restaurant at Terra Luna Resort. It is a quick service restaurant where you can both order food to be cooked or you can pick up pre-packaged food.
Today, I want to review the Omega Cafe and Market. I will tell you about everything we liked (and didn’t like) about our experience. I will also tell you what the menus are for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Decor, Atmosphere & Restaurant Set-Up
I really like the decor and atmosphere. There is a decent amount of seating inside, though I wouldn’t say a lot of seating.
The positive of the fact there aren’t too many seats is that it is spread out with lots of room to walk round. The restaurant overall has a very nice, relaxed atmosphere.
When the weather is nice, you can walk outside and eat beside the pool. This area also has a nice, relaxed atmosphere.
The servers here were very nice and friendly. We were one of the hotel’s first guests, so some of the staff was still being trained. But they were all very nice.
One thing I really like about the restaurant is that they have refillable mugs, which I have not had at every Universal Resort I’ve stayed in. I really like getting these, first of all, for a great souvenir to take home from my trip. The mugs from Terra Luna are very attractive, too.
But I also like how it can save you money when you stay here for a few days and eat your meals here because you can just keep refilling your mug.
The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. That means there are gaps when you can’t order from the cafe (but you can still order from the market – more about this later).
Lunch started at 12:00 PM. We walked up at 11:59 and then they opened up the line for us, so we didn’t have to wait. We were the first to order. By the time we were done ordering, there was already a line behind us. So if you are ready to eat lunch, make sure you arrive perhaps a minute early, like we did, to avoid lines.
So let me tell you each menu (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Then I’ll tell you what my family thought of what we had for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Food Review
For lunch, I ordered the Crispy Cod Sandwich.
Although it said “cod” on the menu, when I placed my order it was rung up as “mahi mahi”. I do not consider myself a fish expert, but it did taste more like mahi mahi to me. And the fish was delicious! There were two different pieces of fish in the sandwich, and I ended up eating one by itself because it was so good and the rest with the sandwich. Plus, the bread in the sandwich was a little hard.
Sandwiches and burgers come with your choice of French Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, or a small tossed salad. The sweet potato fries are (no pun intended) out of this world. They were a wonderful blend of sweet and salty.
The woman at the front desk who checked us in recommended the “Out of this World” Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese Sandwich.
My family also liked the cleverly titled Big French Dipper.
The bread wasn’t too hard. It was delicious. If I had one complaint, I wish the cheese had been more evenly spread. But otherwise, I liked it.
By the way, the French Fries were also good, though I personally liked the Sweet Potato Fries better.
We also tried the Cheese Calzone.
The calzone was good, but unfortunately, one part (the first bite) was pretty much just cheese and no onions. Once you got into the onions, they were good, though.
So we tried those dishes at lunch. At night, we tried the pizzas.
The Margherita Pizza at Omega Cafe and Market is really good.
They offered us Parmesan Cheese to put on the pizza, which we took. The cheese really added, so I recommend it. But the pizza was good on its own.
And as good as the Margherita Pizza was, the Hawaiian Moon Pizza was even better!
I really love Hawaiian Pizzas, and this is one of the best ones I ever had. It was really good.
By the way, both pizzas had 6 pieces total. This means these pizzas can work well if you want to share them with family members (and save a little money by doing so).
The Strawberry Layer Cake was so delicious!
It actually had blueberries on top, which was not lasted on the menu. But it was so good!
The Chicken Noodle Soup was also excellent.
I can’t say enough good things about the breakfast items.
Everything we had was delicious.
The Vanilla Pancakes were so good.
They were so much better than the pancakes we had at Universal’s Dockside Inn, honestly.
The French Toast was exceptional.
And if you are looking for a well-rounded breakfast, we recommend the Celestial Classic Breakfast.
Market Section
So there is a market component of Omega Cafe and Market (which is apparent in the name, obviously). This can be a great place to go if you want something really quick and you don’t have time for a sit down meal. They have a lot of sandwiches and salads for lunch and dinner.
The market can also be great if say you want a cheaper breakfast.
We recommend the croissant.
