Volksfest is the traditional German celebration of spring and outdoor activities after a long winter. Deutsches Haus is a German organization in the Gulf South. They will be having a Volksfest celebration on April 4, 5 and 6, 2025, at the Deutsches Haus in New Orleans.
Volksfest Hours
- Friday, April 4 – 4 pm to 10 pm
- Saturday, April 5 – 1 pm to 10 pm
- Sunday, April 6 – 1 pm to 6 pm
Bring portable chairs to sit under the lovely oaks on the Haus property. Dachshund Races start on Saturday, April 5, at 2 pm and your dog must be registered in advance. There will be soccer shoutouts throughout the day on all 3 days
There will be Wine Tasting at Volksfest and also a Schnapps Tasting. Tickets will be required and you must be 21+ with valid photo ID to purchase tickets.

- Currywurst on a Bed of Fries
- Doner Kebobs
- Chicken Nuggets
- French Fries
- Soft, fresh baked Pretzels
- Cake
- Decorated Cookies
- Hungarian Sausage on a hoagie bun
- Lots of varieties of German beer and wine
- Soft drinks & water
- Friday Only: Fried fish
Deutsches Haus members and children under 12 have free admission. Admission is $5 for everyone else.
