Baltimore Haunted Pub Crawl Itinerary

You’ll meet your professional guide at Max’s Taphouse, which is also your first stop on the tour.  Max’s was originally a slaughterhouse and brothel.  Many have reported seeing a man in the bar who then disappears through a wall.  People have also reported seeing an apparition of a woman in white.

Baltimore was founded as a port and ship building yard.  In 1835, Baltimore had one of the worst riots in the country, the Baltimore Bank Riot.  It earned the city the nickname “Mobtown.”

During the Depression of the 1870s, there were workers’ strikes and riots.  Strikers clashed with the National Guard, leaving 10 dead and 25 wounded.

Citizens of Baltimore have wanted to settle things with their fists and angry mobs and riots have been a part of Mobtown’s history.  Many of their victims still tragically walk the dark streets at night.

Your guide will tell you about these victims as well as pirates and unsolved deaths.  You’ll hear about the infamous Baltimore Fire of 1904, leaving more than 70 blocks of downtown burned down to the ground.

You’ll also hear about Edgar Allan Poe and his last days before his mysterious death.

The tour will stop at The Horse You Came In On Saloon.  It was opened in 1775 and is the oldest continually operating in the U.S.  It is the only bar in the state of Maryland to have survived Prohibition.

The Horse was the last place Poe was seen before his death.  Have a drink (at your own expense) and toast to Edgar Allan Poe’s memory.  Who knows – you might even see him there.  He’s reported to be one of several apparitions spooking people in The Horse.

You’ll hear tales of murder mysteries and shanghaied sailors.  Visit the Admiral Falls Inn and your guide will tell you why it’s considered one of the most haunted hotels in the country.

Immerse yourself in Baltimore’s nightlife and see the haunts between the pubs!
