Pride month may be over, but celebrating pride is just getting started over at SeaWorld theme park in San Diego, California. That is because we are just days away from the first-ever Pride Week at SeaWorld San Diego!
SeaWorld’s Pride Week takes place from Friday, July 19, 2024, through Sunday, July 28, 2024. This coincides with the San Diego Pride Festival. And by the way, if you are at the San Diego Pride Festival, look out for Seaworld’s Love Is An Ocean art wall, which will be displayed on July 20th and July 21st.
But back to SeaWorld Pride Week. It is a wonderful celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community and inclusivity. We’re going to tell you some of what you can expect from the week. Then we’ll tell you how you can save money on tickets!
Daily Pride Meet Up
Each day during the event at 2:00 PM is a Daily Pride Meet Up at the Waterfront. You can mix, mingle, and dance to beats provided by the SeaWorld DJ. All of this is made more beautiful with the backdrop of gorgeous Mission Bay.
Rainbow Tunnel of Lights
The holiday season isn’t the only time we should enjoy a tunnel of lights, don’t you think?
Pride Week features a shimmering, music-activated tunnel with over 5,000 colorful lights! Warning: it may be hard to walk through it without dancing (and why would you want to)?
Food & Drinks
SeaWorld will be featuring special food and drinks during Pride Week. Special pride desserts include cupcakes, churros, and SeaWorld’s famous Shamu Cookie. Oh, and there’s even a specialty cocktail.
Merchandise
What is a good festival without great merch? You can find some exclusive pride swag during the event at the SeaWorld Store and Discoveries Fresh Market.
Oh, and here’s something else for those who like to collect: SeaWorld will be debuting four new pride pins on July 19th in honor of the week!
SeaWorld San Diego Pride Day Lunch
The whole event is leading up to the Pride Day Lunch. It takes place at the Nautilus Pavilion on the last day of the event, July 28th, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. You get an all-you-care-to-eat lunch plus exclusive performances from stars from the LGBTQIA+ community!
SeaWorld San Diego Discount Tickets
Now, the San Diego Pride Day Lunch will cost extra. And obviously, you’ll need to pay for any food, drink, or merchandise you purchase.
But just attending the event is free as long as you have admission to SeaWorld. And luckily, if you don’t already have a pass, it is a good time to buy one.
