Today I want to tell you about Celestial Park. Celestial Park is one of the five “worlds” at the new Epic Universe theme park. Epic Universe is Universal Orlando’s third theme park, and will be opening in a few weeks. So in anticipation of the opening, we want to tell you more about the park!
What is Celestial Park?
Celestial Park is the first world you encounter when you enter Epic Universe. It’s sort of a hub to the other four worlds: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Dark Universe, and How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk.
So at Celestial Park, you’ll find four different portals, or entrances, to the other worlds at Epic Universe. (To me, it’s a little like Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, where you have the circular area in front of Cinderella Castle with pathways leading to the different lands at WDW.)
But Celestial Park is not just a way to get to the other worlds. It’s a world itself, with lots to see and do.
First of all, the creators really wanted to keep the park in theme park, so there are a lot of beautiful natural elements, like gardens and trees. Personally, I love this!
But more than just being visually stunning, you have shopping and dining options, as well as rides.
Rides & Attractions
Stardust Racers
Stardust Racers is a dual-launch coaster with a minimum height requirement of 48″ (122 cm). Travel on a comet along 5,000 feet of track, at heights up to 133 feet and speeds up to 62 miles per hour. This thrill ride was designed to feel like a smooth version of an old wooden coaster.
And at night, since there’s no external track lighting, the illuminated ride vehicles look like comets shooting across the sky!
Constellation Carousel
Constellation Carousel is an elegant carousel with a modern, galactic twist. Guests feel as if they’re riding the constellations themselves, atop celestial lions, peacocks, dragons and more. Plus, the creatures turn 360 degrees and lift guests up 6 feet in the air, even as the carousel itself goes around. In perfect keeping with the theming, the ceiling of the ride is a Star Tracker with rotating star patterns.
Please note that while Constellation Carousel is a child friendly ride with no height requirement, guests under 48″ will need to ride with a Supervising Companion, and handheld infants are not allowed.
Astronomica
Should you want to cool off, you’ll definitely want to stop by Astronomica, an interactive water play attraction. Depending on the weather, you may not feel the need to get wet once the sun goes down – but you’ll certainly want to see the special light, music and color effects that turn on at night.

The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant
The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant is an excellent place to enjoy authentic and delicious Pan-Asian cuisine (featuring some of the best of Chinese, Thai and Japanese cuisine). You can also enjoy cocktails at The Tiger Bar, provided you are at least 21 years of age. And guests of all ages can marvel at the decor, which includes glowing lanterns and neon dragons.
Atlantic
Another memorable dining experience awaits at Atlantic, where you can savor steaks and seafood. And decorative fish in the ceiling, along with the glass walls, create the illusion of a huge Victorian aquarium. Guests who are 21 and over can also order cocktails at the Aquaria Bar.
The Oak & Star Tavern
This fast casual restaurant is located inside a cosmic garden. Enjoy delicious barbecue around a starlight-filled ancient oak tree at the center of the tavern. Or try a drink or two at The Plastered Owl bar, also located in the tavern.
Pizza Moon
The concept behind this quick service dining spot is that it was once an early 1900s Victorian theater that’s been converted into a pizzeria.
Star Sui Bao
You can find this Asian food cart near the Stardust Racers ride.
Frosty Moon
This ice cream stand boasts a fuchsia ice cream cone ringed with gold orbits on top of the kiosk.
Shopping
Nintendo Super Star Store
The Nintendo Super Star Store is a fantastic place to shop for all sorts of SUPER NINTENDO WORLD merchandise. This includes apparel, toys, collectibles, jewelry, and other souvenirs. Conveniently, it’s located just outside the portal entrance to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD.
Conclusion
There are a lot of fun things to do in the Celestial Park section of Epic Universe, especially if you’re looking for dining experiences.
If you’d like to visit Epic Universe (or the other theme parks at Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure), we recommend getting your Universal tickets here. Our family has been buying tickets from them for years. It’s a great way to save money with sometimes pretty sizable discounts.
