Planning a trip this Christmas season? Whether you are planning to go home for the holidays or enjoy a well-deserved trip with family, friends, or by yourself, you may be looking to book a flight.
Unfortunately, flights around Christmas can get quite expensive. But here are some tips to help you save money on your flights.
Be Flexible On Your Dates
Per Expedia, if you are flexible on your flight’s dates you can save a lot of money. It’s possible sometimes that even if your vacation is longer and you spend more nights in a hotel, you could still end up paying less. Especially with Expedia’s vacation packages, which I’ve found can save you a lot of money.
Book One-Way Trips Rather Than Roundtrip Flights
According to CheapOAir, one way to save money on flights around Christmas is to book one-way flights rather than roundtrip flights. Sometimes that can be cheaper.
Additionally, be a bit flexible with the airport you arrive in or leave from.
For example, let’s say you are traveling from the United States to Europe this holiday season. If you want to visit more than one city, then you could, for example, fly into Paris but fly out of London.
Book Your Flight on a Tuesday
Consider booking your flight on a Tuesday. Then you can take advantage of the Travel Tuesday promo code at CheapOAir! Just use the promo code “TRAVELT45” and you could save up to $45 on your flight!
Book Your Flight on a Sunday
Per Expedia, another day you can save money when booking your flight in Sunday. Flights can be cheaper that date.
