2025 is the perfect time to visit the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California! That’s because there are a number of special events taking place throughout the year. This includes returning favorites as well as a 70th anniversary celebration that you won’t want to miss.
In this guide, we’ll go over all the special happenings at Disneyland in 2025. Most of these festivals and events are included in the price of admission. A few, however, are nighttime events that require a separate ticket to attend. When that is the case, we’ve mentioned it so that you can budget accordingly.

January
Lunar New Year
January 17 – February 16
Celebrate the Lunar New Year at Disney California Adventure Park! This fun event draws inspiration from Vietnamese, Korean and Chinese traditions. And Mickey Mouse & Minnie Mouse will show off new outfits that represent traditional Korean attire.

Sweethearts’ Nite
January 21, 23, and 28 and February 4, 6, 9, 11, and 13
This Disneyland After Dark separately ticketed event is perfect for couples and anyone who is a romantic at heart. It also makes for a great Valentine’s Day present! Celebrate love at Disneyland while also enjoying shorter wait times for top attractions.
February

Celebrate Gospel
February 8 & February 15
This is a great opportunity to enjoy performances by inspirational community choirs and award-winning gospel music stars. Celebrate Gospel takes place at Disneyland Park, as it has annually for over a decade.
Food & Wine Festival
February 28 to April 21
Enjoy delicious California cuisine, live entertainment, tasting seminars and more at the Food & Wine Festival. Fittingly, this event takes place at California Adventure Park. During this time, you can even ride the original Soarin’ ride, Soarin’ Over California!
March

Season of the Force
March 28 to May 11
Celebrating May the Fourth isn’t limited to, well, May the Fourth! Disneyland Park has a special Star Wars event that runs from the end of March to the middle of May.
Each night, you can see “Fire of the Rising Moons” at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, complete with new projection effects, John Williams’ epic Star Wars film scores, and even fireworks on select nights. And Space Mountain becomes Hyperspace Mountain, where you and the New Republic squadron will battle an Imperial Star Destroyer.
90s Nite
March 4 and March 6
Whether you’re a child of the 90s, have fond memories of the era or want to experience it for the first time, 90s Nite is for you! During this Disneyland After Dark event, you’ll enjoy character encounters (like Max dressed as Powerline), entertainment, event merch and more, all with a Disney 90’s theme. Please note that this requires a separate ticket.
April

Star Wars Nite
April 8, 10, 22, 24, and 29 and May 1, 4, and 6
If Season of the Force isn’t enough and you’d like to experience more Star Wars fun at Disneyland, you’re in luck! This Disneyland After Dark event features characters from both the Light and the Dark side. At this separately ticketed event, you’ll also get some excellent photo opportunities. Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration
May 16, 2025 to Summer 2026
Our family loved the 60th Anniversary Celebration at Disneyland – and it looks like the 70th will be amazing as well!
Both parks have added or brought back some great entertainment options in honor of the anniversary:
- “World of Color Happiness!” (new) at California Adventure Park
- “Paint the Night” parade (returning) at Disneyland Park
- “Wondrous Journeys” show (returning) at Disneyland Park
- “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” (returning) at California Adventure Park
There’s also a new theme song called “Celebrate Happy,” new outfits for Mickey and Minnie Mouse, a special 70 medallion for Sleeping Beauty Castle and more.
June

Pride Nite
June 16 and 18
This separately ticketed Disneyland After Dark event is a great way for members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies to enjoy an inclusive celebration.

Oogie Boogie Bash
August 17, 19, 21, 24, 26, 28, and 31; September 2, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, and 30; and October 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 26, 28, and 31
I’m thrilled that this extremely popular Halloween event is offering more dates than ever in 2025. During the family friendly nighttime event at Disney California Adventure Park, you can go on immersive treat trails, watch a fun Halloween parade and more. Plus, both kids and adults can dress in costume! Please note that you must buy a separate ticket to attend as it is not included in park admission.
Halloween Time
August 22 to October 31
The Disneyland Resort goes all out for the Halloween season! This includes spooky overlays on popular rides, seasonal food and drink offerings, and live entertainment. You can find out about 10 fun Halloween things to do at Disneyland here.
Plaza de la Familia
August 22 to November 2
Honor Día de Los Muertos while celebrating the spirit of the holiday with your favorite Coco characters! Design paper alebrije masks, add a remembrance note to the Memory Wall and more during this event, held at Paradise Gardens in Disney California Adventure Park.
