Today, I want to talk about why I think your family would love a stay at the Contemporary Resort during the Easter season. The Contemporary Resort is a hotel at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. It is a wonderful hotel to stay at any time of the year; we’ve talked before about how great it is during the holiday season in our Contemporary Christmas Guide.
But I really like the Contemporary Resort during the spring. One of the advantages of staying at the Contemporary Resort is that you can walk to the Magic Kingdom. The weather is cooler in spring than it is in the summer, so that can make for a nice walk.
Another cool part of Contemporary Resort is that you can use the monorail system to get to Epcot. During the spring at Epcot, you’ll find the International Flower & Garden Festival, a favorite festival of my family’s.
But one other advantage of staying at the Contemporary Resort during the Easter season is the Easter decorations. And by that, I specifically mean their Easter Egg display!
Contemporary Resort Easter Eggs
The Contemporary Resort has an Easter Egg display in its lobby.
When I went to see the display this year, I went to the fourth floor because that’s where the official Disney Parks blog listed it. But it turns out, it is not on the fourth floor but in the lobby instead. The lobby is on the main floor. You’ll find the display near Steakhouse 71.
The Easter Egg display was impressive, though I would say this. If you are not staying at the Contemporary and you only have time to visit one Disney hotel for their Easter egg display, I would probably recommend visiting the Grand Floridian’s Easter egg display. I think their Easter egg display is a bit bigger and more impressive.
But that’s not to say I did not enjoy this Easter egg display. They had some really great ones featuring beloved Disney characters and movies.
I especially love the Baby Hercules and Pegasus one, which you’ll see below right by the cute Moana coconut one.
Speaking of Hercules, here is another great Herculues display.
I really loved the Toy Story one as well as the Muppet lab display with Beaker and Dr. Bunson.
And all the Muppets Easter eggs were great!
This Princess and the Frog one is particularly attractive.
So it’s a really cute display that’s great to check out, especially if you are already staying at the Contemporary Resort.
