Getting to take a vacation to Disneyland in Anaheim, California, can be a dream come true.  No matter what your age is or you who you travel with, you are bound to have fun at Disneyland & California Adventure theme parks.

The only negative to a Disneyland trip is the cost.  Let’s face it; a trip to Disneyland can get quite expensive.  Luckily, there are ways to help you save money to help make a great trip to Disneyland affordable.  In fact, I’m going to let you in on 10 ways you can save money on your vacation.

First, let’s discuss tickets.  Here are three ways you can save money.

Disneyland Ticket Coupons

Here are ways to get cheap Disneyland tickets in 2025:

  • Groupon: You can get a special 70th Anniversary Ticket through Groupon here.  You’ll save 54% on your ticket!
  • aRes Travel: aResTravel is one of the most reputable resellers of Disney tickets.  You can get great deals on Disney tickets here. In fact, you can save up to $111/person.
  • Undercover Tourist: Another great way to save money on your Disneyland ticket is with Undercover Tourist.  We are repeat Undercover Tourist customers who have always been pleased with our purchase.  They help you save money on lots of different Disneyland ticket options.  You can even add on a hotel and/or car rental to help you save more money.
  • Swagbucks: Swagbucks is a way you can make money online. You earn “Swagbucks” for tasks like answering surveys, playing games, or uploading receipts from the grocery store.  You can redeem them for Disney gift cards, which you can then use for Disneyland tickets through Disney’s website.  We discuss Swagbucks more here.

Disneyland Hotel Deals

Now, let’s discuss hotel rooms.  There are a few ways you can save money on your hotel during your Disneyland stay.

  • Book a Disney hotel stay through David’s Vacation Rentals: We’ve found the most affordable way to save money on an official Disneyland hotel is to book a room at the Disneyland Hotel or Disney’s Grand Californian Resort through David’s Vacation Rentals.  There are Disney Vacation Club villas at both hotels, and you won’t have to be a DVC member to stay in one of these.  Instead, you can rent points from current members.  This will save you hundreds of dollars on your vacation stay.  We go over the process of booking a DVC room here.
  • Stay at non-Disney hotel near Disneyland: One thing I like about Disneyland that is not the case with Disney World is that you can stay at a lot of hotels that are not technically “Disney hotels” but are within walking distance of Disneyland. I stayed at the Residence Inn Anaheim Maingate and had a wonderful time, and I was able to walk each morning to the parks.  You can look for affordable hotels near Disneyland here.

Other Ways to Save Money on your Disneyland Vacation

  • Disneyland Vacation Packages: One way to save money on your tickets and your hotel is to combine them together with a vacation package.  We talk about these vacation packages here.
  • Eat Dinner at Restaurants near Disneyland: The last time I went to Disneyland, I saved a lot of money by not eating dinner at the parks.  When you visit Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, you are kind of in a bubble and it’s hard to visit restaurants outside the resort.  But once you walk outside Disneyland you are close to a number of reasonably priced dining options.  For example; my family really enjoyed getting a pizza at Pizza Press which is close by Disneyland.  It was reasonably priced, plus we saved money by sharing a pizza.  Then we went back to California Adventure later for World of Color.
  • Get A Discounted Flight: For some people, flying to Disneyland is a necessity, because if you live far off, the drive might be too impossible. I personally have had great success finding discounted flights through Cheapoair.
  • Get a Discounted Car Rental: If you fly into the Los Angeles area and you want to have a car so you can visit other places while you’re in Southern California (such as Universal Studios Hollywood), then you may want to rent a car.  I have always found that OneTravel has great prices on car rentals.
