We’ve talked about the Willits Skunk Train, the delightful train ride through the redwoods of California. But did you know there was a Christmas version of this train ride?
Some of the same elements of the regular train ride exist. You can still see the majestic redwood groves during your train ride. You’ll still be able to climb aboard one of the historic “Skunk” motorcars at Willits Depot.
But this train ride definitely has a Christmas twist. During the train ride, you’ll get in the holiday spirit with holiday music and seasonal treats like free hot chocolate and Christmas cookies.
But this time your “skunk” motorcar will be taking you to meet Santa Claus himself! You can get your picture with Santa.
But that’s not even the best part. The best part may be seeing the Christmas. The Skunk Train has made the claim they have world’s tallest living Christmas tree! And, having been measured at 222 feet back in 2022, they may in fact be right in their claim. And even if they aren’t – hey, that is an impressive living Christmas tree!
