I’ve used YouTube before but to teach myself various skills. It’s often unsuccessful, although that may be due to not sticking with things (because of course I wouldn’t pick up on how to speak Mandarin in a couple of videos, right?) but I have picked up some skills.

He then went on to win America’s Got Talent: The Champions! Hmm, maybe I should start back with those Mandarin YouTube videos, huh?
So what makes Shin Lim’s magic so great? His elaborate close-up card magic routines where he remains silent while his tricks are set to music just make for wonderful entertainment. He just has that star quality, in addition to wonderful tricks. It’s no wonder videos of his tricks have so many views on YouTube. It’s not a surprise this video has 20 million views:
