Visit the site of one of the most historic turning points of World War II by visiting the D-Day beaches.  We want to tell you about a tour that allows you to do just that.  It is a guided tour, so you’ll learn a lot from your guide.  The tour also includes transportation to and from Paris, making this trip a wonderful addition to any Paris holiday.  And if you keep reading, we’ll tell you about a promo code that helps you save money on the tour.

But first, let me tell you what to expect in this tour.

Tour Itinerary

Travel in a luxury air-conditioned coach from Paris for a full day excursion to Normandy.  Enjoy the lovely landscapes of the Normandy countryside as your guide tells you about the Normandy beaches and the D-Day landing.  Your first stop is the Caen Memorial Museum.  Through its exhibits and films, it tells the story of World War II, especially the Battle Of Normandy.  You’ll have lunch at the Museum restaurant.

Next you’ll go to Point de Hoc.  It was one of the main German fortified sites and was stormed by the American Rangers.  Then you’ll see the American cemetery located just above Omaha Beach.  It is home to 9,387 white marble headstones.  There is a memorial, a chapel and the Garden of the Missing.  This area pays tribute to the American soldiers who died during the Battle Of Normandy.  So very moving.  You’ll have an hour to explore this site and Omaha Beach below.

The final stop is Arromanches, a historic town that assisted the Allies.  On D-Day almost 10,000 tons of equipment was unloaded there.
