A one of a kind festival is coming to Hudson, Florida, in the greater Tampa area. It is an opportunity to connect with others and share in a really meaningful experience. The Water Lantern Festival is going to be held in Sunset Park in Hudson on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 5 pm to 9 pm.

What to Expect
With the Water Lantern Festival, you, your family and friends will share an incredible experience and create magical memories together.
Each Adult Ticket includes
- Wristband – For entry and access to food trucks
- Floating Lantern Kit
- LED Candle
- Commemorative Drawstring Bag
- Conversation Cards
- Playing Cards
- Marker
You’ll be given your lantern kit and a marker. You can decorate the lantern any way you want.
Many people will write their hopes for the future or their dreams on their lanterns. It is such a positive event with strangers coming together as a “community” in a constructive way.
You can also use the lantern as a way to let go of something. Write down what you want to let go of and then watch the lantern float away in the water. It is a way to give yourself a new beginning.
The lantern can also be a way to come to peace with the past and to honor someone who is gone. Tell them all the things you didn’t say to them when you could.
Bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy performances by local musicians. There will be yard games and play areas. Food trucks will be at the festival selling delicious dishes, snacks and desserts.
After sunset, everyone will release their lanterns into the water and watch as they glide away. See the stunning vision of the water being lit by hundreds of lanterns. The lanterns will light up the night and your life!
The lanterns are safe and biodegradable. The LED candles are recycled and reused. All of the lanterns will be cleaned up after the event.
