Spring is here, and that means the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is in full force at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida! I love eating the food and drinks that are offered as part of the festival. They have great creations featuring fresh ingredients that feel just right for spring.
And speaking of fresh ingredients, this is just what you’ll get at Florida Fresh. Florida Fresh is one of the festival’s Outdoor Kitchens. What I mean by that is that it is the pop-up booth you’ll find near CommuniCore Plaza.
Speaking of which, I really love the location. CommuniCore Plaza has indoor tables and chairs. It’s also beautifully decorated for the Flower & Garden Festival.
This is much needed when it gets really hot in Florida (which is a lot) or if it rains (which is also a lot). You can order from Florida Fresh and then take a short walk to the indoor seating. Or, if the weather is nice, you can enjoy your meal outdoors while enjoy ¡Celebración Encanto!
I have always enjoyed this booth, but perhaps no more than this year. You’ll understand once I get into the menu.
Florida Fresh Menu
Back on the menu is the Florida Strawberry Shortcake.
Also returning is the Cubanito dish.
This is a sandwich full of Ham, Mojo-Marinated Pork Belly, Pickles, Swiss Cheese, and Stone Ground Mustard Sauce.
New this year is Conch Fritters, which comes with a Key Lime Aioli.
They also have two drinks. There is a Cucumber Watermelon Slushy with Gin. That is the alcoholic beverage. You can also have a non-alcoholic version of this where you would just get the Cucumber Watermelon Slushy without the Gin.

- Southern Tier Brewing Company Strawberry Shortcake Imperial Ale

Our Thoughts
- The Strawberry Shortcake in 2025 was really good. Last year (in 2024) it was very good. But this year was even better. Every bite was so delicious.
- The Cucumber-Watermelon Slushy is very good, too.
- The Conch Fritters were very good! This isn’t a food we eat a lot, but everyone in my family liked it. They Key Lime Aoili was also good, and paired well with the Conch Fritters, taking away some of the heat.
- The Cubanito was a bit disappointing. It was not all bad, don’t get me wrong. The ham, cheese, and especially the pickle were good. But the bread was just okay. It was a little too hard for my taste. And unfortunately, I didn’t really like the pork belly. We like the Cuban sandwiches at the Backlot Express, which is a Hollywood Studios restaurant.
